It stands to reason that shadows follow the objects.
However, taking a long look at the shadows, I am getting confused about which is a real thing and which is a deception.
If everything were reversed and we were ruled by the shadows, what would the world be like?

An English poet by the name of Traherne had a similar thought in his poem "Shadows on the Water". These are the first three verses....
In unexperienced infancy
Many a sweet mistake doth lie:
Mistake though false, intending true;
A seeming somewhat more than view;
That doth instruct the mind
In things that lie behind,
And many secrets to us show
Which afterwards we come to know.
Thus did I by the water's brink
Another world beneath me think;
And while the lofty spacious skies
Reversèd there, abused mine eyes,
I fancied other feet
Came mine to touch or meet;
As by some puddle I did play
Another world within it lay.
Beneath the water people drowned,
Yet with another heaven crowned,
In spacious regions seemed to go
As freely moving to and fro:
In bright and open space
I saw their very face;
Eyes, hands, and feet they had like mine;
Another sun did with them shine.
I guess he too was asking what the shadow world was like ....

Thank you for nice quotation.
I searched Traherne's poem on the Internet, and got the whole. It seems to be a little difficult to understand for me, but I will try. Thank you.

Wow!!
Yr picures are sooo beautiful!
This one reminds me of "Peterpan" his shadow was stitched by Wendy, and their story begins.
Now he is back in real world to visit us??
When I was a kid, I thought I could run faster than my shadow.
Thanks for nice memories!!

The place I must know well...
The pavement seems Ohdohri, the main street from Utsunomiya station.
Is it at Futaarasan shrine??

Sorry, Yumi. The pavement isn't Ohdohri.
I was on the 15th floor of Tochigi prefectural office building.
